Insights

Magnifico was a Filipino movie. This movie runs on the life of a 9yrs. old boy, who's name is Pikoy. It talks about his family, that even though he is not good in school and belongs to a poor and less-fortunate family. He still have a big heart and a large amount of optimism that enabled him to help in his community especially in his family. This movie pictures out the reality. This movie will realize us on how we should give importance to our family and even to those persons who are in need.

This movie is very touching, it make myself to cry outburst. I learned a lot of lessons in this movie.

Content

This movie is known to all as Magnifico, his name is Pikoy, a child of a less-fortunate family. His father works as a carpenter but does not have permanent job, his elder brother has lost his academic scholarship, and his mother spends her days caring for both Helen his younger sister, who suffers from cerebral palsy, and for her grandmother, who lives upstairs in the family home. Magnifico is a sweet and well-intentioned boy, who is often scolded by his father for his stupidity. He always do good unto his fellow even though he was bullied by them. He always help his family in his own capacity. But in the end, Magnifico died.

Feedback's/Criticism

For me most of the scenes there are just awesome, it's perfect. It pictures out what is our society in the reality. It really describes what kind of of people we used to mingle in our everyday life. It even gives me a lesson to everyone that even though you belong to the impoverished family, you should not lose hope for there are so many ways to complete your day without having enough money. Love, respect and care unto others are also the things that we should learn.

But in the end, I just don't like the part where Pikoy died due to an accident. I just don't get it, why should he die? He helped so many people but in the end, he died.

Flying Bat

Flying Bat The images above are the scenes in my favorite part in the movie because he make a way to fulfill his promise with his sister and that is they'll go to the carnival. He just put his sister on his back or we called "piggy back ride", but as on their way they saw the group of boys who always bully his sister. But as to my amazement, they offer a ride for Pikoy and his sister. When they reach the carnival they immediately got to the rides, when it was his turn to pay for the tickets someone offered that she will just be the one to pay for them. he smiled when he saw his sister was enjoying in the carnival. He didn't even bother how people look at them. It made me realize one thing, how much he cares for his sister and his family.

The above scene make me so dramatic. That was the scene when Pikoy died. I just cant help myself to cry when I saw that scene before. Tears are running down from my eyes. Made me realize that "You will not know the importance of a person when he/she is gone."
